New Dining Hall with Full Commercial Kitchen Fund
In the Buddhist tradition, teachings are offered free of charge, this is because the teachings from the Buddha are actually so valuable that no price could ever be attached to it. However, voluntary donations called dana are accepted. These voluntary contributions are not required nor expected, but available to those who wish to support the Sangha (monastic community), to preserve the teachings, and to make the teachings available to others. Dana is a form of giving and sharing.
As we celebrate our 13th anniversary this year, we are also launching a special fundraiser. This campaign is to raise $ 26,000 toward a “New Dining Hall with Full Commercial Kitchen.” This year, in order for us to reach our goal, we have divided this amount into 1300 shares of $ 20.00 each. If you would like to help in this fundraising campaign, please consider doing so at the ceremony. For checks, please make your donation payable to “Wat Buddhametta”or “Tucson Buddhist Meditation Center” or for online donations, please visit our website: http://www.tucsonbuddhistcenter.org/
